True Neighborhood Vibe
“This comfortably chic spot offers an all-day menu and well-curated wines and beers, plus a true neighborhood vibe for Redondo Beach locals. The menu from chef Tin Vuong (Little Sister, Abigaile) is a melting pot of international flavors, including shakshouka, mojo pork huevos rancheros and loco moco for breakfast; the lunch and dinner menu might include Sichuan beef, Cubano sandwiches and soupless ramen.”
This Kitchen Can Play It Straight
The fried chicken showed that this kitchen can play it straight when they want to. This was the traditional American favorite with no curveballs.

Tin Vuong is making Cubanos by the beach: The chef known for his Vietnamese-leaning cuisine at Little Sister in downtown L.A. and Manhattan Beach, has opened a new restaurant in Redondo Beach called Suburbia. The restaurant is a joint effort by Vuong and Jed Sanford, the owner-founder of Blackhouse Hospitality, the restaurant group behind Vuong's other ventures: Steak and Whisky, Abigaile, Wildcraft and Dia de Campo. Suburbia, which has been open since the end of July, serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and a weekend brunch. Menu highlights include Cubano sandwiches, Sichuan spicy beef tendon and shakshuka.

Things of Beauty...
"The five pokes are works of art, things of beauty..."
“That makes it exactly the kind of chef-driven, approachable eatery everyone wishes would enter their ‘hood."
Suburbia is chef-staurateur Tin Vuong’s newest venture after Little Sister, Abigaile, Steak & Whisky, and another Little Sister location, and it’s essentially combining the greatest hits of all his previous spots. It’s like the cover band of restaurants, except it plays a bunch of songs from a bunch of different bands just as well as the original bands could do them.
